Cindy
Transitioning from a career in journalism to obtaining a social work certification at Manchester Community College, Cindy found her calling in helping others at BHN. “Being in human services was my first job out of college, so it was easy to return to the field” she shares. Cindy's prior experience and desire to help people led her to apply at BHN, where she has been for seven years.
As a Care Coordinator in the Integration department, Cindy reaches out to clients to ensure they have access to necessary services and helps to coordinate their care across multiple providers. She helps people who may struggle with tasks like getting their prescriptions filled or arranging transportation to their appointments.
When asked about her motivation to continue her career at BHN, she shared, "I love flexibility, especially with hours and time management. Not many places offer that." Cindy also mentioned the many career advancement opportunities offered at BHN and that she was able to complete a course on drug counseling with the Black Addiction Counselor Education (BACE) thanks to grant funding.
